Key Stage 1 & 2
Having a solid foundation in maths and English is fundamental to succeeding in not just academics but life in general. We start our tuition for children from Key Stage 1. We work meticulously through the very basics to ensure that your child gains a thorough understanding of the essentials.

11 Plus Preparation
When it comes to the 11 Plus entrance exams, there is no such thing as too much practice, so we advise starting preparation as early as possible (at least 12 months before the exam is recommended). We provide support for all portions of the entrance tests (English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning) for GL and CEM exams.
We first supply practice worksheets, so your child can familiarise themselves with all the different types of questions- some of which will be completely new to them. Then we give them mock papers to work on timing, how to fill out their answers, and to ensure they get all the practice they need before the entrance exam.
SATs
For many younger pupils, SATS exams will be the first set of official tests they sit, and for this reason they can be daunting. We are here to make sure your child doesn’t become flustered under exam pressure by guaranteeing they know the content well, work on their time management and get a sufficient amount of past paper practice. We can provide full comprehensive teaching for all maths and English tests, otherwise if need be, we can just help by just focusing on one of the subjects.
Key Stage 3 & GCSE
For high school students we provide tutoring for English (language & literature), maths and science (Combined & Triple) – we cover all the material across the major exam boards (AQA, OCR and Pearson Edexcel).
As well as teaching the contents of the subject, we also advise on how to organise notes, make revision schedules and which revision techniques would work best for each tutee. We also give guidance and advise on GCSE and A-level choices and can also help with work experience applications too.
A-Levels
At A-level, we teach maths and all the sciences (physics, chemistry & biology) for all major examining bodies (AQA, OCR and Pearson Edexcel). We can help guide our tutees towards the right university courses and where to attend. Our mentorship also extends to helping with the application process, from learning how to write personal statements through to interview prep.
